Are you our next Marketing Manager?
Walsworth is a 55+ attorney law firm, established over 30 years ago with offices throughout California is in search of a Marketing Manager. This key position is a member of Walsworth's Marketing Leadership Team and is tasked with developing strategies and approaches to facilitate business development, branding and engagement in the legal and business communities.  This position can be based in San Francisco, Orange County, or Los Angeles.

 Responsibilities include: 

  • Research potential clients and practice developments to identify business trends and opportunities to ensure that Walsworth is optimally positioned to grow market share.
  • Lead pitches and responses to RFPs and other new business opportunities.
  • Develop and update materials, including website content, brochures, attorney bios and at-a-glance documents.
  • Assist attorneys with editing and placing bylined articles in key legal, trade, and business publications.
  • Increase brand awareness and profile. Drive activities such as social media, sponsored events, in-house presentations, professional speaking opportunities, and media interviews. 
  • Oversee Sr. Marketing Coordinator and department budget.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced and innovative marketing leader with a proven background of successfully developing and implementing programs for law firms.  We expect our Marketing Manager to have a deep bench of resources and contacts to effectively execute business development efforts.  Our ideal candidate will also have the leadership and persuasive skills to guide our attorneys in creative ways to develop new business and grow relationships with existing clients.

The following qualifications are essential: 

  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and capacity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Practical critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to evaluate problems and provide effective strategies and solutions to proactively manage Walsworth’s online reputation.
  • Advanced knowledge of social media strategies, online platforms, tools, and measurements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
