Group Description:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Group is responsible for the overall financial management of our company. This includes accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, balance sheet management, financial planning and analysis, treasury, investor relations, corporate investments and tax

Global Financial Control (GFC) is responsible for managing and executing consolidated financial and legal entity reporting; interpreting and applying accounting policy and standards; overseeing financial controls and operational risk assessments; managing and maintaining financial data and systems; managing general ledger and sub-ledger accounting; and supporting tax activities. In short, our focus in GFC is to get the numbers right and to work in support of the company’s goals, most importantly responsible growth.

Finance Change & Production Services (FCPS) executes the GFC strategic change agenda via disciplined project management and delivery practices and ensures our production systems and support operate seamlessly day-over-day. FCPS is also accountable for GFC automation, business technology strategy, and change governance.

Job Description:

The Senior Project Manager is part of the Finance Change and Production Services (FCPS) team and will work with large Line of Business driven change programs to manage impacts to the General Ledger (GL). These programs typically involve changes to existing products and services, or the implementation of new services. The Senior Project Manager will interact with the Line of Business program as the lead representative for General Ledger, together with junior project managers on their immediate team. In addition to the Line of Business Change Programs, they will work closely with GL Operations, Finance Data Management and GL Technology team members to determine, test and implement all required changes. Main activities include:
  • Identify and manage all project impacts to ensure the accuracy of financial books and records
  • Manage end-to-end execution for assigned projects and/or specific segments of a larger, complex project
  • Develop/maintain project plans, initiating implementation programs, creating status reports, presenting status to senior executives and tracking progress
  • Ensure issues/risks are proactively identified, appropriately escalated and include alternative approaches/mitigation plans and manage to resolution
  • Communicate, influence and negotiate both vertically and horizontally to obtain partnership and engagement required to deliver project deliverables
  • Represent the project in various governance and inter-department forums, as appropriate

Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial transaction flows
  • Excellent change management skills, including ability to think end-to-end, process design, business requirements, employee/operational readiness, testing and implementation
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality or timelines
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), influencing and facilitation skills
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Self-motivated, self-directed
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
  • 3+ years change management, project management, finance or similar experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Finance/Accounting preferred)

Desired Skills
  • Finance Management, Accounting or similar background/experience
  • Advanced data manipulation and analysis skills
  • Experience with BAC enterprise change processes and methodologies (Waterfall/Agile)
  • Experience with BAC project management tools (i.e., PPRT, Nexus, SharePoint, Discovery)
