Overview
The Construction Project Manager provides management direction and control of projects from concept design through completion and strives to meet all client expectations. Ideal candidates will have understanding of quality management principals and general engineering principals and construction techniques. The candidate must have the proven ability to effectively manage people and resources. We are looking for the right person to oversee our project quality, mentor our well-qualified staff, interact with clients, and work with the rest of the team at Epstein.
Large industrial/manufacturing experience is a must. Design-build experience is a plus. Candidates must be willing to periodically travel to construction locations throughout the United States.
General Responsibilities
-Oversee the successful management of construction projects. Provides leadership to the team with respect to project goals, objectives and client expectations.
-Ensures efficient coordination of project requirements. Leads the team in cooperative and synergistic efforts with other disciplines on projects.
-Reviews all reporting systems and procedures and prepares reports to clients and senior management defining progress and cost.
-Promote and maintain client relationships.
-Develop subcontractors’ interest, receive and review prequalification forms for preparation for bidder’s list.
-Prepare individual packages for competitive bidding of all project work. Receive, analyze and clarify all bids. Make award -recommendations.
-Negotiate, award and administer all subcontracts, purchase orders and change orders.
-Establish and monitor project costs and schedule.
-Perform job site inspections and project progress meetings.
-Receive, review and process all vendor submittals including expediting delivery of materials and equipment.
-Prepare all required project status reports to inform and coordinate with client.
-Assemble, review and transmit all project closeout information (i.e. as-builts, warranties) and provide required warranty follow-up.
-Develop and implement site utilization plan and establishes needed crew sizes.
-Assure construction schedules are maintained by trade contractors.
-Develop, update and review on a frequent and regular basis, project schedule and 3-week look ahead, daily reports, safety checklists, and ensures onsite adherence to company insurance policies.
-Provide proactive and intentional leadership in developing the safety culture on the project site.
-Support and coordinate interface between design and field construction.
-Prepare required field documentation and reports (monthly, weekly and daily).

Individual compensation is determined by several factors, including relevant education, experience and training, qualifications, skill sets, licensure/certifications and location. Employees are also eligible for discretionary annual bonuses based on both company and individual performance. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 annually.
Requirements
Requirements
-Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture
-7-10 years of successful construction project management experience on diverse projects.
-Strong knowledge of construction engineering principals: materials, methods, sequencing, scheduling, and estimating -Strong knowledge of construction industry including laws, contracts, and accounting
-Understanding of insurance and related issues including liability aspects and claims avoidance
-Ability to interpret construction documents
-Strong knowledge of field construction: systems, practices, safety and procedures
-Travel is required (10%)
-Working knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Project
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
