Job Description
To strengthen our IT-BS team and support our growth, Energy Pool is hiring a Junior Project Manager - Instrumentation & Complex Systems (M/F) on a permanent contract.
Based within our Japanese subsidiary, you will work under the supervision of an experienced Project Manager located in France and contribute to projects focused on instrumentation, automation and control systems enabling electrical flexibility (production/consumption/storage assets, FCR/R1, pooling mechanisms, etc.)
Your missions
You will be involved in the full lifecycle of instrumentation and automation projects, including:
- Supporting the design and engineering of instrumentation and industrial automation projects
- Contributing to functional specifications and technical documentation
- Configuring selected hardware solutions and validating them on test benches
- Assisting with site audits and physical installation/connection phases
- Running on-site test campaigns (qualification, certification, operational readiness)
- Supporting the deployment of control systems (advanced algorithms, testing protocols)
- Contributing to operations & maintenance support (run/MCO)
As part of the team's international scope, you will also:
- Support the implementation of local business rules (under supervision)
- Contribute to global deployments of control and interfacing infrastructures with TSOs
Safety & cybersecurity responsibilities :
You will ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures during interventions on automated installations, including lockout/tagout processes, electrical and mechanical risk prevention, and proactive reporting of hazardous situations.
You will also help secure automation systems by ensuring the integrity and protection of configurations (backups, access control, secure updates).
Qualifications
Required
- Master's degree (Bac +5) / Engineering degree in Automation, Instrumentation, Industrial IT or related fields
- Internship experience or first professional experience in automation/instrumentation/industrial systems
- Technical skills in at least one of the following areas:
- Instrumentation
- Automation / PLC
- Low-voltage electrical systems
- Industrial IT / networking
- Solid knowledge of:
- PLC and SCADA/HMI programming
- Industrial communication protocols and/or IoT
- Networking & telecommunications
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Strong personal qualities: autonomy, ownership, teamwork mindset, analytical skills, initiative, and technical curiosity
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment
Nice to have
- Knowledge of industrial processes and assets: generator sets, batteries, PV plants, electrolyzers
- Knowledge of electrical equipment: delivery substations, meters, power measurement systems, high/low voltage
- Python programming skills
- Japanese language skills or strong understanding of Japanese business culture
