POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marketing Project Manager is responsible for managing marketing print, digital, and web related projects for the Academy. Works with internal staff and external vendors to produce high quality deliverables within scope, time, and budget. Must work independently, cross-functionally with internal teams and foster relationships through a collaborative and service-oriented approach.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Project Management
• Support the project lifecycle for marketing, digital, and web related projects
• Responsible for delivering projects within the constraints of scope, time, and budget
• In charge of project portfolio documentation, modifying project plan, coordinating changes with project team, and track project statuses to ensure progress toward completion
• Works with resources managers to ensure the right resources are assigned to projects
• Maintain proactive communication with cross-functional team members to set appropriate project expectations
• Anticipate project bottlenecks and other potential problems to minimize effect on project outcome
• Create project plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
• Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards
• Consult with appropriate staff to resolve issues, identify and mitigate risks, identify opportunities to ensure projects are completed successfully
• Assists in identify opportunities for improvement of systems and processes and work cooperatively toward solutions of the identified areas needing improvement
• Stays informed on project management and marketing industry best practices

ADDITIONAL POSITION INFORMATION:
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel required – approximately 5%. Ability to legally travel outside of the United States, particularly but not limited to Canada.
Location: Minneapolis, MNand is identified as hybrid (required to work in the office with the ability to work remotely part of the week)
Schedule: Occasional evening and weekend required
Physical Requirements: Standard office setting, with ability to sit for long periods of time, occasional use of stairs; regular use of computer and office equipment, lifting up to 10 lbs. The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Communications, Business or related area of study is required
• Project Management Professional Certification is preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for qualification requirements.
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management; initiating projects, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing is required
• Experience working in the health care industry or membership association is preferred
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
• Ability to handle 30-70 projects simultaneously and under limited supervision is required
• Strong organizational, attention to detail, customer service, and problem-solving skills are required
• Ability to handle confidential information is required
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and expectationsis required
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office 365 (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required
• Proficient in Workfront or similar Project Management dashboard is required
• Experience with SharePoint and working with marketing communication functions is preferred
