Job Summary & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of project delivery for a client, from inception to release of assets. Installations may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment or enterprise software systems, or system integration or consulting projects/engagements. Flexibility for travel is required, as the candidate may work at client site from time to time. The position typically involves extensive interaction with sales, clients, end-users, and other members of cross-functional teams. Project is typically focused on the delivery of an array of project events or varied scope, to of customer satisfaction through the use of technology, applied and proven processes. Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key, but a strong technical background is often required to manage competing interests. Typically oversees schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage and drive, with the customer team, the strategy, quality, objectives, planning, and implementation of the projects including (but not limited to) definition of the technical requirements.
  • Assurance of project’s compliance aspects based on project’s and business requirements. Setting timelines, milestones and budgets.
  • Monitoring progress of activities and budget against project plan. Determining, and ensuring appropriate action upon critical path tasks.
  • Driving decision making, inside and outside of the team. Identifying and ensuring resolution of conflicts and problems.
  • Continuously seeking process improvement and implementation. Ensuring quality and compliance throughout the development process.
  • Ensuring scope consistency of project throughout the development process.
  • Establishing agreed risk management plan.
  • Establish and maintain clear communication channels to provide full transparency throughout the project.
  • Working with key supporting team members to complete required active tasks.
  • Streamlined communication with key project parties to ensure the seamless delivery of the events.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of Project Management or related experience required.
  • 50% travel time required.
  • Experience in MS Project

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP, CAPM, Prince 2 or related certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with laboratory environments (i.e. Pharma, chemical process, etc.)
  • Experience in occupancy projects a plus.

Physical Requirements & Expectations:
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and walk long distances.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
