Description
Job DescriptionThis role supports the Japan Partner Skilling program for our global technology client. We are seeking someone bilingual ( English- Japanese) to drive execution of agreed skilling plans across selected priority partners. This role works closely with Global Skilling Leads and acts as the day-to-day owner of skilling plan delivery, partner engagement, and progress tracking.
The role requires strong coordination, operational rigor, and the ability to engage partners in the local language to ensure skilling plans are executed effectively against defined targets.
It is a fixed term contract, expected to run through the end of the year and possibly extend into next year.
The work is onsite the Tokyo area, requiring 2-3 visits a month to partner offices, also within the Tokyo metro area.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Skilling Planning & Execution
- Support execution of partner skilling plans aligned to agreed skilling strategies and priorities
- Understand partner capacity and capability, identify skilling gaps, and map appropriate Microsoft skilling offers to close those gaps
- Maintain skilling plans that clearly map offers, timelines, and expected outcomes
Partner Engagement & Follow-Up
- Act as the primary execution contact for partners on skilling-related activities
- Drive awareness and registration for relevant training courses, certification weeks, and skilling programs
- Conduct regular follow-ups and check-ins with partners (via email and calls) to track progress against skilling plans
Metrics, Tracking & Reporting
- Support alignment to defined skilling metrics and targets
- Track execution progress and report status against skilling plans
- Ensure follow-through on actions required to meet skilling goals
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Skilling Leads to support their priority partners
- Coordinate with other skilling stakeholders and support resources (e.g., skilling desk) as needed
- Escalate risks, blockers, or gaps in execution in a timely manner
Scope of Ownership :
- Leading - Execution of skilling plans and
Partner follow-ups, check-ins, and progress tracking - Supporting -
Skilling strategy and target alignment set by Skilling Leads by assessing partner needs - Stakeholder engagement led by Skilling Leads
- Executing (with support) - Training promotion and coordination as well as t
racking and reporting against agreed metrics
Required Qualifications
- Experience in program or project management. Experience in partner enablement, skilling, or training programs is a bonus
- Strong stakeholder and partner engagement skills
- Ability to work in Japanese (business level with Partner stakeholders) & English (with internal Microsoft stakeholders)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to execution detail and follow-through
- Comfortable working in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders
