We now looking for an experienced business development professional or management consultant who is eager to be part of a high performing team of 20 colleagues in Japan. As Senior Consultant / Project Manager at Business Sweden, you will lead and deliver projects to support Swedish companies in their international business development and expansion journeys. We provide advisory services within the areas of Growth Advisory, M&A, Supply Chain and Public Affairs, and we support with implementing the strategies we build, which include both strategic advice and analysis, as well as hands-on local support.

The role includes both strategic, tactic and operational responsibilities such as:

• Represent Business Sweden as a trusted advisor, finding solutions to our clients' most pressing challenges
• Lead teams and work close to our clients
• Responsible for building strong client relationships, scope assignments, and drive project delivery ensuring well-grounded insights are easily communicated to clients.
• Easily navigate both business promotion and strategic consulting assignments for clients ranging from small to large.
• Proactively work with sales including initiation, driving dialogues, together with the team developing a solid pipeline for the office.

The role is based in Tokyo, but you will be expected to work with our teams and clients around the world, as required.

Formal requirements

• Master of Science in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience from a consultancy firm or equivalent (depending on Senior Consultant or Project Manager).
• Experience of working in an international context and of successfully managing cross-border project assignments.
• Experience of leading project teams and an interest in developing and growing talent.
• Experience from one or more of our core consultancy service areas, including Growth Advisory, M&A and Supply Chain.
• Proven track record in sales and the ability to independently drive client dialogues, and take on full sales cycle responsibility.
• A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English and Japanese is a requirement, an additional language is an advantage.
