Join our dynamic team to innovate and drive technology advancements, contributing to significant business growth and client success.As a Technical Project Manager III at JPMorgan Chase in Commercial and Investment Bank - Digital and Design team, you will help lead complex technology projects and programs that drive business goals and create value for clients, employees, and stakeholders. Applying a broad knowledge of technical principles, practices, and theories is essential to developing innovative solutions, along with leveraging analytical reasoning and adaptability skills to navigate through ambiguity and change. Your strong communication abilities will enable you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment on project objectives and governance. By optimizing resources and managing risks, you will contribute to the successful delivery of high-impact projects that shape the future of the firm.
We are looking for an experienced Technology Project Manager to support our Payments Transformation, partnering with Product and Technology team members to deliver the strategic global payments roadmap. Working with our global Graphite technology component teams, partner applications, and testing teams, you'll help to drive the projects forward, ensuring the clarity of the schedule and scope, managing risks and issues, and communicating status to all stakeholders
Job responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of technology projects
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing risk management strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, quality assurance, end to end testing and business stakeholders, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Utilize technical fluency to evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendor products for project implementation
- Maintain and monitor list of key project-level dependencies including across application groups and proactively tracking the same
- Demonstrate proficiency in leading & managing quarterly execution planning is required
- Facilitate key project level meetings and meet the relevant information demands for those. Ensure decisions are made within governance and identified governance meetings have clear agenda, quorum members, status reports, and minutes published. Drive project adherence to the agreed project lifecycle.
- Ensure the project adheres to project risk and issue standards and maintain the project risk and issue log (driving remediation/ resolution activities through to closure). Drive effective escalation management of risks and issues from projects and releases into the program
- Manage stakeholder communications at all levels across the firm and be responsible for maintaining a project stakeholder and communications plan
- Utilize technical fluency to evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendor products for project implementation
- Monitor project progress, adjusting plans and schedules as needed, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project or program lifecycle
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities
- Experience with software development best practices and experience establishing methods, tools, and process improvements for cross-team initiatives
- Experience managing software projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules
- Proficient in stakeholder management, with a track record of establishing productive working relationships and driving mutually beneficial outcomes
- Certifications in Agile methodologies, such as SAFe SSM, PSM I, and PSM II
- Strong proficiency in JIRA & Confluence for Agile / Scrum project tracking, workflow configuration, dashboards, and JQL based reporting
- Strong technical fluency, with familiarity in current and relevant platforms, software tools, and technologies
- Proficient in stakeholder management, with a track record of establishing productive working relationships and driving mutually beneficial outcome
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with Tableau & Power BI is a plus
- Experience in Payments technology is a plus
- Experience in designing, implementing, or supporting AI agents, including conversational bots, or intelligent automation solutions
