About the role
The Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) is seeking a highly capable Project Manager - Global Opportunities to drive strategic offshore initiatives that support the growth of the Financial Planning profession, international education pathways, and global membership.
This is a hands-on, project-based role focused on building new international revenue streams, education partnerships, immigration pathways, and membership offerings. You’ll work closely with senior internal stakeholders, regulators, universities, and international partners to deliver complex, high-impact projects.
Some domestic and international travel may be required.
Key focus areas
Lead international education, immigration and membership initiatives to grow the global financial planning profession. This includes establishing offshore CFP® education pathways and CPD recognition, advocating for visa and workforce reforms, developing university and work placement pathways, and launching new international membership offerings supported by integrated systems and partnerships.
Key responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project delivery, from strategy through to execution
Obtain legal and regulatory advice and liaise with ASIC and relevant regulators
Build strong relationships with internal teams across Education, Policy & Advocacy, Membership and IT
Engage external stakeholders including universities, regulators, immigration lawyers and industry bodies
Manage suppliers and budgets associated with special projects
Identify and manage risks in complex regulatory and international environments

About you
You’re a confident project manager who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments and enjoys building something new.
You will bring:
A proven track record in project management within financial services
Experience or strong understanding of the education sector - Financial Planning
Experience or knowledge of migration and visa frameworks
Excellent relationship management and influencing skills
A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to manage risk and work at pace while maintaining attention to detail
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualifications
Project management certification or formal project management studies
