SUMMARY Performs all basic daily landscape construction duties in addition to operating specialized use equipment. Trains and performs most tasks within the department under the supervision of the Landscape Manager.
Pay: $20-$23/hr
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The safe and skilled operation of most powered equipment such as: Maintenance Vehicles, Small Tractors, Blowers, Sod Cutter, Trencher, Mini-excavator, skid-steer, front-end loaders, etc.
Ensures that at the end of the day the equipment and hand tools are thoroughly cleaned and then stored in its proper location.
Perform daily repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and hand tools.
Required to wear supplied safety equipment as required: Safety Glasses, Earplugs, Back Support, etc.
Reports equipment problems or failures to the supervisor immediately.
Able to effectively handle multiple tasks
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Maintains a professional standard at Juniper Preserve including, but not limited to, appearance, interaction with members, associates, guests of the club, verbal discussions and written correspondence. Does not discuss work related issues with members and resort guests.
Participate in and support company efforts towards sustainability and environmental initiatives as part of a formal program.
Maintains positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Landscape Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
One to three years of landscape construction is required. No special education required.
Must be able to read and understand written and oral instructions.
Must be able to comprehend topics of a conceptual nature.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret a variety of job-related instruction manuals.

Primarily outdoor shifts in all weather conditions from extreme heat to extreme cold.
