Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (District) is seeking a student to support construction management staff and to oversee both capital and material capital repair & replacement (MCRR) contracts.
The co-op will gain:
Enhanced education in construction processes and strategies.
Hands-on experience in contract management.
An in-depth understanding of wastewater treatment processes and conveyance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: You will work with construction management staff to provide inspection and construction management services for contracts. There will be opportunities to review completed plans and specifications, perform materials testing, and data logging.
Requirements
The selected student should be pursuing a construction management or engineering degree and should have completed at least two years. The selected student must have strong communication skills, Must be able to walk over uneven terrain and up & down stairs while wearing a hard hat, safety glasses, and safety shoes. A valid driver's license and a good driving record at time of application, during the selection process, and throughout the co-op terms is required.
Supplemental Information: This co-op position runs for THREE nonconsecutive 16-week terms. The District is looking for one student to fill the role. You will begin the first co-op term in Fall 2026, return for the second term in Summer 2027, and complete the final term in the Spring of 2028. Must remain a student throughout the duration of the terms.
Each term is full-time, Monday through Friday.
