The Architectural Collaborative is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Job Captain/Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a collaborative design professional who enjoys balancing technical coordination, project leadership, and client interaction within a fast-paced and highly collaborative studio environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from concept through construction administration, working closely with clients, consultants, and internal team members to deliver thoughtful and technically strong design solutions.
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary day to day client contact; coordinate and manage architectural projects through all phases of design and construction
- Prepare and oversee development of construction documents, specifications, and consultant coordination
- Collaborate with project leadership, clients, engineers, and contractors to ensure project goals, schedules, and budgets are achieved
- Lead project team coordination and support communication between all disciplines
- Assist with project scheduling, resource coordination, and quality control
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, project reviews, client interviews as needed
- Support construction administration activities including submittals, RFIs, site visits, and punch lists
- Mentor and collaborate with junior staff while contributing to a positive and team-oriented studio culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture
- 5–10+ years of professional architectural experience
- Healthcare, science/technology, or commercial project experience preferred
- Strong technical and construction document experience
- Significant proficiency in Revit required
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative environment
- Licensure or progress toward licensure preferred
