Description
To strengthen our team in Wietmarschen-Lohne we are looking for aCustomer Project Manager (all genders welcome) - Upstream Optimization
You will own end-to-end delivery of our Upstream Optimization "Optimization as a Service" (OaaS) projects for oil and gas operators, translating signed contracts into successful, referenceable field deployments. Working at the interface of the customer, our technical/product teams and sales, you ensure that our AI-driven, real-time production and reservoir optimization solutions built on clamp-on multiphase flow sensing and top-down reservoir modelling are implemented on time, on budget, and deliver production and recovery gains to our customers.
What you can expect
- Act as the primary point of contact for the customer from contract handover through implementation, value validation, and expansion/renewal, building trusted relationships with subsurface, production, digital, and operations stakeholders.
- Plan and manage the full project lifecycle - mobilization, sensor and system installation, data integration, model calibration, optimization cycles, and reporting against agreed scope, timeline, and budget.
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams (reservoir engineers, data scientists, field/instrumentation specialists, software engineers) to keep workstreams aligned and on schedule.
- Own project governance: risk and issue management, change control, status reporting, and steering committee updates for both the customer and internal leadership.
- Track and report on technical and commercial KPIs to demonstrate value delivered and support performance-based contract terms.
- Manage on-site data-sharing and execution commitments with the operator, ensuring timely access, validation support, and implementation of recommended actions.
- Identify scope changes, upsell, and expansion opportunities within existing accounts and feed them back to sales and account management.
- Provide structured field and customer feedback (technical performance, operational constraints, competitive intelligence).
What you bring
To become part of the Rosenxt family, you have a customer-oriented, structured and solution-driven way of working. You should also bring:
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related discipline; an advanced degree (MSc/PhD or PMP/project management certification) is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, including meaningful exposure to production optimization, reservoir management, or field development.
- Proven track record managing complex, technical, customer-facing projects - ideally involving digital oilfield, real-time monitoring, or data-driven optimization solutions.
- Solid understanding of production systems, artificial lift, injection strategies, and reservoir management, with the ability to engage credibly with subsurface and production engineers.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to operate confidently from field engineering teams up to VP, and to manage tri-partite arrangements involving customers and subcontractors.
- Excellent organizational skills: budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and reporting discipline across multiple concurrent projects.
- Willingness to travel internationally to customer sites, including in EU, Middle East, and Asia Pacific regions.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Reports to the Business Area Manager Upstream Optimization, with close coordination with sales, product, and technical leadership.
Look forward to
- Development opportunities and career opportunities in a global, innovative and long-term oriented group of companies with family character
- Flexible working time and Home Office possible
- An open, informal corporate culture, where we celebrate success with social events
- Compatibility of work and family through our company-owned day care center
