Federated Hermes is seeking a Portfolio Construction Analyst/Senior to join our Portfolio Construction Solutions team. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with senior portfolio strategists while playing a meaningful role in delivering insightful, data-driven portfolio solutions to clients.
In this role, you’ll combine analytical rigor with strong communication and client engagement skills; helping to design, evaluate, and enhance multi-asset portfolios while contributing to client interactions that drive business outcomes. You’ll utilize your expertise across asset allocation, investment products, and advanced analytics to support portfolio consultations and ultimately contribute to the growth of Federated Hermes strategies.
What You’ll Do
Partner with sales and senior team members to deliver tailored portfolio insights addressing client needs across multi-asset models, asset allocation strategies, and product utilization.
Support client consultations by conducting in-depth portfolio analysis and translating complex risk metrics into actionable insights.
Perform forensic portfolio analysis, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities through advanced risk and scenario modeling tools.
Drive investment research initiatives, including quantitative screening of funds and investment managers.
Contribute to business intelligence efforts, analyzing client data and market trends to uncover insights into asset class usage and competitive positioning.
Create compelling data visualizations and reporting, helping bring investment recommendations to life for internal and external audiences.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Progress toward (or completion of) an advanced degree or industry designation (e.g., CFA, MBA)
2+ years of experience in financial services, preferably in investments, portfolio analytics, or research
Strong working knowledge of tools such as Morningstar Direct, Orion Risk Intelligence (HiddenLevers), or similar platforms
Advanced Excel skills, including macros and complex data analysis
FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses (or willingness to obtain)
