The Company
Dimerix Limited (ASX: DXB), is a Melbourne-based clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing patient-preferred treatments for unmet needs in kidney and inflammatory diseases. Its pipeline includes lead asset DMX-200 for FSGS, diabetic kidney disease and ARDS, and DMX-700 for COPD. Working with global partners, CROs, CDMOs and specialist consultants, Dimerix is a small, collaborative, values-led team at an exciting stage of clinical development.
The Opportunity
Following the recent acquisition of another Phase 2 asset, Dimerix are seeking a Project Manager, Drug Development to drive the planning, coordination, tracking, and reporting of cross-functional and external activities across its drug development programs. Reporting to the Strategic Alliance Director, this role is central to managing multiple concurrent programs and supporting resource allocation across the business:
- Create and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, and budgets for drug development programs.
- Monitor cross-functional deliverables and milestones across clinical, non-clinical, CMC/manufacturing, and regulatory workstreams.
- Coordinate external vendors, including CROs, CDMOs, and specialist consultants, to ensure delivery to agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.
- Facilitate project team meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action follow-up.
- Maintain risk and issue registers, proactively identifying risks and driving mitigation and resolution.
- Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations for the Senior Management Team and Board.
- Support budget tracking, including purchase orders, invoice review, and forecast inputs.
- Manage program timelines and interdependencies across concurrent development programs, supporting resource allocation and capacity planning with functional leads.
- Support strategic alliance and licensing operations by tracking partner obligations, milestones, and deliverables under collaboration and licence agreements.
Requirements
The Requirements
- At least 2 years’ project management experience in drug development within a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO setting.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional development activities across clinical, CMC, non-clinical, and regulatory workstreams.
- Proven ability to manage external vendors, including CROs and specialist consultants.
- Strong skills in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management, with proficiency in MS Project, Smartsheet or similar tools, and Microsoft 365.
- Sound understanding of the drug development pathway from non-clinical studies through clinical development to registration.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, global partners, and vendors.
- Ability to work independently, apply sound judgement, identify issues early, and implement practical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related discipline.
- Melbourne-based, with the ability to work from the office 2-3 days per week.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) is desirable.
- Experience in a small biotechnology company or ASX-listed environment, supporting strategic alliances or late-phase (Phase 2/3) clinical programs, is desirable.
