Description
Job DescriptionIn this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead project planning, scheduling, execution, and close-out to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage and coordinate communication with customers and Balance of Plant (BOP) vendors across commercial, technical, and project planning matters.
- Manage and prepare quality-related documentation, working closely with Cummins factories and BOP vendors.
- Provide site management and project leadership at power generation project sites, including supporting installation and commissioning activities.
- Maintain a strong customer focus, ensuring project requirements and expectations are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project budgets, resources, schedules, and priorities to support successful delivery.
- Identify and manage project complexity, conflicts, risks, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor project performance and provide clear and timely project reporting and communication to relevant stakeholders.
- Promote and maintain strong Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards across all project activities.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in project delivery, processes, and customer outcomes.
- Take ownership of a broader scope of work than a traditional Project Manager role, contributing across technical, commercial, operational, and project delivery activities.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, ideally within project management, power generation, engineering, construction, or a related industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of power generation technologies, relevant regulations, and industry standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical and operational challenges.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience managing customers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders in a project environment.
- A Project Management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 would be advantageous.
