Description
Key Responsibilities
Developing requests for proposals and qualifications, contract documents, cost estimates, bid/proposals, contract awards, and other related contracting documents.
Executing assigned capital improvement projects and studies by procuring and directing the work of consultants and contractors.
Overseeing construction of assigned capital improvement projects in conjunction with resident project representatives.
Maintaining project schedules and budgets, ensuring conformance with internal policies, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
Obtain easements and encroachments required for projects through OWASA standard operating procedures
Responding to customer concerns and inquiries.
Interacting with consultants, contractors, regulators, operations and professional staff, members of the public, and other stakeholders.
Develop and execute project communication plans in conjunction with other OWASA staff.
Requirements
Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or GED, plus specialized technical training equal to two years of college.
Minimum one year experience with project management principles and practices used in the planning and construction of public water and wastewater projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidates should be self-motivated and have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to effectively manage projects.
