Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (required).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in road and highway construction projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Project Manager role specifically managing road and highway construction projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale road infrastructure projects with significant budget, schedule, and resource responsibilities.
• Experience working on road infrastructure projects in the UAE or GCC region is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent project management software.
• Strong knowledge of road construction methods, pavement works, drainage systems, utility coordination, traffic management, construction materials, and quality control procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of Arabic is considered an asset.

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale road construction projects in the UAE. The successful candidate will oversee project delivery from mobilization to completion, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while coordinating contractors, consultants, authorities, and key stakeholders.

Location: United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the overall Project Execution Plan, project schedule, and resource plan.
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor project milestones and implement corrective actions to address delays, risks, or deviations from the approved schedule.
• Manage the project budget, review contractor payment applications, and implement effective cost-control measures.
• Administer contracts and process variation orders, claims, and contractual correspondence in a timely manner.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports, forecasts, and project performance updates to senior management.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the client, contractors, consultants, utility authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Lead regular progress meetings and ensure timely communication of project updates and key decisions.
• Manage stakeholder and community relations and resolve issues arising from construction activities.
• Ensure all works comply with project quality standards, inspection and testing plans, and applicable regulations.
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and conduct regular site audits to promote a safe working environment.
• Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team of engineers, surveyors, inspectors, and support staff.
• Identify capacity gaps within the project team and support professional development and mentoring initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, municipal requirements, and project-specific standards applicable to road and highway construction projects.
