The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning agency for the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area providing essential services to our region: transportation, wastewater collection and treatment, growth and development of local communities, affordable housing programs, and regional park systems.  

Our Information Services (IS) department of 140+ members provide IT support to all Council divisions.

The Senior IS Project Manager provides leadership and management direction to staff assigned to projects, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, transitioning to operational support, and closing out projects. Utilize the IS PMO governance process and templates within the general project and serve as the Project Manager within assigned projects. Facilitate the development of the project plan and documenting project tasks for both internal and external project team members, stakeholders, and consultants or vendors to ensure successful completion of projects. This position is responsible for managing the development of more than one mid-size project simultaneously that requires collaboration and coordination with various work units.

This position is eligible for hybrid (remote and onsite) teleworking.

Salary Range: $95,804.80 - $155,396.80 Annually

Requirements

Any of the following combinations in completed education (degree field of study in computer science, business management or project management related field) and experience (managing IT and business projects).

--High school diploma/GED with nine years of experience
--Associate degree with seven years of experience
--Bachelor's degree with five years of experience
--Master's degree with three years of experience
