Job Description:
Parsons is seeking an exceptional Senior Project Manager to join our team!.
In this role you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of the Exhibition Halls package within a large-scale venue and infrastructure development programme. The Senior Project Manager will lead all aspects of project execution from design coordination and procurement through construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring that the facilities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme, budget and quality requirements.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the delivery of the Exhibition Halls package from design development through construction, commissioning and handover.
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams including consultants, contractors, specialist suppliers and project stakeholders.
- Oversee planning, scheduling and execution activities to ensure achievement of key project milestones and programme objectives.
- Monitor project performance against cost, schedule, quality and safety targets, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Coordinate design reviews and technical assessments to ensure compliance with project requirements, operational objectives and applicable standards.
- Manage interfaces between architectural, structural, MEP, ICT, fit-out and infrastructure disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Support procurement activities, contractor management and contract administration processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project reporting activities, providing regular updates on progress, risks, opportunities and key performance indicators.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues and change requests, ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
- Coordinate with authorities and stakeholders to secure approvals, permits and necessary project clearances.
- Ensure compliance with project governance procedures, quality management systems and HSE requirements.
- Support testing, commissioning, operational readiness and final handover activities to ensure facilities are fully functional and fit for purpose.
- Mentor and guide project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability and high-performance delivery.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture/Civil Engineer or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in project or programme management within large-scale construction, infrastructure or venue development projects.
- Demonstrable experience delivering major capital projects within complex, multi-disciplinary environments.
- Proven track record of managing large work packages or multiple project components through all phases of delivery.
- Strong understanding of design management, construction methodologies, procurement processes and project controls.
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers across complex project interfaces.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness, including experience managing budgets, change control, claims and risk.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project planning, scheduling, reporting and governance requirements.
- Experience working within operational or live environments where phasing, logistics and stakeholder coordination are critical.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive project outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Ability to maintain strategic oversight while effectively managing day-to-day delivery activities.
