About the Position
As a Senior Project Manager (m/f/d/x) SAP HCM, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing forward-looking HR transformation projects. You will be responsible for the successful implementation and optimization of SAP HCM solutions for our customers and will make a significant contribution to overall project success. Your responsibilities include:
- Project Management: You will lead complex SAP HCM projects from initial concept through to successful go-live, applying traditional, agile, or hybrid project methodologies, with hands-on experience in SAP Activate.
- Strategy & Consulting: You will analyze core HR processes, advise our customers on the digitalization and optimization of their HR systems, and apply your extensive SAP HCM module expertise, including schemas and rules for SAP PY/PT. You will also contribute your expertise in hybrid HCM landscapes combining SAP HCM On-Premise and SAP SuccessFactors.
- Management & Governance: You will be responsible for project planning and execution, budget management, and proactive risk management. A project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent will support you in this role.
- Stakeholder & Team Management: You will professionally manage the expectations and requirements of all stakeholders and lead interdisciplinary project teams without direct line-management responsibility. Your strong intercultural skills will enable you to successfully manage teams in distributed working environments.
- Integration & Migration: You will ensure high quality and efficiency in HR data migrations and system integrations.
- Communication: With your excellent communication and facilitation skills, you will foster effective collaboration and successfully guide projects to completion.
Your Profile
In addition to a university degree, for example in (Business) Informatics, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a comparable qualification, you have in-depth knowledge of SAP HCM, both On-Premise and SuccessFactors, as well as hands-on experience with the SAP Activate methodology, including familiarity with the framework and its phases: Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run.
You have several years of demonstrable experience in managing SAP HR projects, including the use of hybrid or agile project management methodologies, such as SAP Activate combined with Scrum or traditional project management, as well as experience in global rollout projects, particularly in HR/SuccessFactors.
You also have experience in change management within an HR context, including sensitivity to cultural differences and driving user adoption across different countries. In addition, you possess strong intercultural skills and the ability to lead distributed, multinational, and multicultural project teams.
Your additional skills include:
- Strong consulting skills and a pronounced customer focus, as well as extensive experience in HR data migration and HR system integration
- Understanding of country-specific requirements and their impact on Employee Central (EC), e.g. local legislation and data protection requirements
- Good understanding of HR processes and organizational structures, e.g. Hire to Retire, Master Data Management, Time Management, and Payroll Integration
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly at C-level, combined with strong communication skills, diplomacy, and sound decision-making abilities
- Proven leadership experience within project teams, as well as experience managing nearshore/offshore teams and external implementation partners
- Strong capabilities in budget, resource, and schedule management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- A project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent
- Strong proactive risk management capabilities, including the early identification, assessment, and mitigation of project, compliance, and data migration risks
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, particularly in international team environments
- Very good German and English language skills at C1 level; additional languages such as Spanish or French are an advantage
- Willingness to travel for project-related activities (25-50%)
