OverviewAbout the Role & Team
Join IDC's expanding U.S. events team as we build high-impact experiences for IT professionals and IT leaders across North America. We're hiring a charismatic, organized, and client-centric Event Project Manager to support a portfolio of assigned events within our U.S. events business. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Events Americas and operates as part of a broader regional team, working collaboratively across a global events organization to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences. This is a remote full-time role with high visibility and impact—ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and can manage multiple concurrent projects with autonomy from a home-based office.
As an Event Project Manager, U.S., you will serve as the primary client liaison across your assigned portfolio of events, managing sponsor relationships and coordinating event logistics from concept through execution. This role requires the ability to manage multiple event types simultaneously, including large-scale summits, custom (single sponsor) client events, and virtual programs. A strong emphasis is placed on delivering event experiences tailored to contracted client objectives. You will focus on two primary areas: 1. Partner Management Managing client goals and contractual activations across assigned events within the U.S. portfolio, including in-person and virtual programs. 2. Event Operations Planning, coordinating, and executing all logistical elements to ensure seamless delivery across multiple concurrent events. You will work closely with event colleagues in Canada, Mexico and our broader global internal teams across design, content, operations, and sales, as well as external suppliers and partners. While this role primarily supports the US portfolio of events, IDC operates as a global events business. You will regularly collaborate with stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones. Core working hours are typically 9:00 AM 5:00 PM ET; however, flexibility is expected to accommodate business needs, including global coordination and live event execution.
